Cumberland County deputies arrested Willie Robert Davis, a 53-year-old homeless man, Friday.
Investigators believe Davis robbed Parker's Jewelry Store and shot the owner, Harry Parker. Parker is recovering from his injuries at home.
Another suspect, Leforice Blue, has been charged as an accessory.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Davis was stopped by a Fayetteville police office on Rowan Street earlier Friday and was found to be in possession of a large amount of jewelry. Sheriff's detectives were called to Rowan St. and determined the jewelry was stolen in the Parker robbery.
Davis and Blue each have been charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, one count of attempted murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and one count of felony conspiracy.
Both men will have a first appearance Monday at 9 a.m. in District Court.
