DURHAM, N.C. — The landlord of a popular gourmet food shop in Durham has offered to buy it.
PeaPla, the company that owns the development where Fowler's is located, offered almost $42,000.
The request covers the store's inventory, equipment, records, name and other property.
The trustee handling Fowler's bankruptcy case must approve the deal, which PeaPla wants to seal before Nov. 5, the start of the holiday sales season.
