DURHAM, N.C. — A student at Durham's Lakeview School was struck by a dump truck Thursday morning.
Durham police said the 15-year-old boy exited a city bus at 10:34 a.m. and was crossing Dearborn Drive toward the school when he was struck by a Durham Public Schools dump truck.
Officials said the student was conscious and alert when he was transported to a hospital.
The accident is under investigation. There is no word on injuries or charges.
The dump truck driver has been suspended pending an investigation of the accident.
