Posted Updated

ERWIN, N.C. — Twenty students at

Triton High School

have been suspended for three days.

The suspension comes after the students allegedly got inside the Harnett County school and painted graffiti on the walls and floors.

No criminal charges were filed, but the students' parents will pay for damages.

Police are investigating whether the Triton incident and

vandalism reported

at South Johnston and West Johnston high schools in recent days are related.
