BRUNSWICK COUNTY, VA. — Officials said two men remain on the loose after leading police on a high-speed chase spanning several counties and into Virginia Monday.
The chase started in Granville County and ended on northbound Interstate 85, just north of South Hill, Va. The men were in a vehicle reportedly stolen in Charlotte.
The Brunswick County, Va. Sheriff's Office said the subjects are believed to be somewhere in the woods around milemarker 19 on I-85 North.
The Sheriff's Office said the men may be armed with a gun and a knife.
Virginia State Police are also involved in the search. OnStar alerted authorities to let it know a stolen car was being tracked.
