RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police have arrested a man accused of assaulting three women at three different places on Thursday.

Mario Devans Sauls was taken into custody just before 11 p.m. Thursday and charged with two counts of attempted kidnapping, one count of attempted murder and two counts of assault.

The alleged assaults happened earlier in the evening, police said. The first one occurred at the Irregardless Café near downtown Raleigh, the second at the intersection of Woodburn Road and Clark Avenue in the Cameron Village area and the third one outside a Kmart in Garner.

The women were not harmed, and two of them positively identified Sauls as their attacker, police said.

Sauls is in the Wake County Jail without bond.
