Charles Dyvonne Estes, 35, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officers responded to 921 Wake Towne Drive around 11:30 a.m. after a housekeeper found Hoyle's body in a guest room at the extended-stay hotel.

Good job in making a quick arrest! On the other hand, it seems the police are never on hand when you actually need one, like BEFORE someone gets killed.-fishon

Brilliant comment. And just how were they supposed to prevent this??????

Rebelyell says that now but wait till it's them or one of theirs getting stuck and will be singing a different tune.

When will we stop killing people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

well, when you only have 10 officers working 1 district and they are running around responding to domestic disputes, disturbance calls, motor vehicle wrecks and numerous other incidents called in by citizens there is no way for them to be at every place you want them at.

Good job, once they start and get away with it, they'll just keep killing. Now, if we can just get some sense in when to stick em and be done with it so they don't sit for 20 years. No reason we can't do what is right in less than two years with today technology.

My point being you have to be prepared to defend yourself at all times, as the police can't be with you all the time.

    "you libs", nice try.

Look at the way the Cary police handled the Brad Cooper case and how the media and WRAL went right along with it and never questioned anything.
    TeenDAD

Thats not really a safety point, actually you are making the point that Cary is safer. The reason the Cary investigation is so messed up is their detectives have not been to murders before. Take a cop from Rocky Mount and put him in the detective spot in Cary and of course he has much more experience than the veterans of that office.

I`m keeping out of Raleigh and especially my wife and daughters. All the murders and rapes lately and people say Durham is bad........If this was a Durham story there would be 50 posts from Durham bashers but when it happens in Raleigh it stays hush..hush.. Sorry for the family that lost a family member from this senseless crime

Seems like Durham and Raleigh are going through the same transition Rocky Mount and Wilson went through.

Wilson stood up and kicked out the riff raff and they movedd to Rocky Mount, looks like Durham PD is doing the same.

Phyxius, I disagree with you. Check out what happened on Tues. Jan. 24th.Stadium drive area. You won't find a thing on wral, nor the Herald sun, I even checked the reports. I had to call and find out. When police officers are running thru back yards chasing someone, and cop cars on evey corner, I feel that the people living in that area have the right to know. As far as I know this was not published, and they do not have to do so. Durham is bad, however it's all over. It's because our system has no standards anymore, people do what they want, when they want and to whom ever. It's all over. Take more of a look on wral, we are finding out about Demi Moore convulsing, as if I care, I have my own to take care of. Unfortunatly, you and I both may have to deprive our daughters, it's not safe, anywhere! I get to work this morning and the place across the road has been broken into, windows smashed, crime scene unit, cop cars, this too was not published as well, yes it's Durham.
