Raleigh Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police in Raleigh are looking for one or more suspects in a deadly shooting Sunday.

Carlos Lamont Kearse-Morrell, 29, of Calvary Drive died Sunday night at WakeMed.

Police said Kearse-Morrell was shot in the parking lot of the North Timbers Apartments complex on Calgary Drive.

Witnesses told police they heard three shots fired. When they went outside, they found the victim lying in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds.

Police are looking for a black man, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 160 to 175 pounds, who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and a white head band. He may have short braided hair.

Police said the suspect fled in a late model red Jeep SUV, possibly occupied by additional suspects.
