Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people have been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred August 4 at the First Citizens Bank on New Falls of Neuse Road.

The suspects have been identified as 46-year-old Robert Lee Gregory and 45-year-old Kimberly Jean Finch. Both suspects have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Both suspects were apprehended in Zebulon.

In addition to detectives from the Raleigh Police Department, personnel from the Wake County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Service participated in the investigation that led to the arrests.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office arrested Gregory Tuesday night. He was identified earlier in the day by authorities after they viewed surveillance tape taken inside the First Citizen's Bank during Monday's robbery.

Police said Gregory went inside the bank armed with a gun while a man and woman waited in a getaway car. Police are still looking for the other suspect.

Monday's robbery was the 15th in Raleigh this year. Tuesday, City Council members voted to work with law enforcement and banks on prevention measures.
