Police Look For Answers In Fatal North Raleigh Shooting

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police have been looking for leads in a fatal shooting on Leesville Road in Raleigh.

Raleigh police said Christopher Moore was found shot to death inside a Ford Expedition around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot of a townhouse complex. One witness said Moore was found on the driver's side of the SUV with the engine still running.

Officers combed the area for about 12 hours after the shooting. A K-9 unit searched the parking lot, but found nothing. Neighbors hope police will have answers soon.

"I hate to see a person die. You don't know what's the reason," neighbor Tom Aderhold said.

Police said Moore did not live at the townhouse complex.
