RALEIGH, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes play their home opener Wednesday night, but the game is just part of the fun planned at the RBC Center.

Tailgaters are welcome to start arriving at the RBC Center parking lots at 2:30 p.m. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Fans are urged to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. for a special ceremony that will raising the Stanley Cup Championship banner and be followed by the 7 p.m. opening face-off against the Buffalo Sabres.
The 'Canes and Sabres battled through seven games of the Eastern Conference finals last year, with the 'Canes getting the big Game 7 win enroute to the team's first Stanley Cup championship.
