RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh school bus was involved in a collision with another vehicle late Friday afternoon.

Authorities said a bus from Barwell Elementary School was making a left turn onto Rock Quarry Road from Barwell Road around 4 p.m. when a woman ran the stoplight and hit the school bus. The school bus was full of students at the time of the accident.

An official with the Highway Patrol said that about 10 to 15 kids complained of minor injuries after the accident and were taken to the hospital by parents. Authorities said there were no serious injuries.

The woman who hit the bus was taken to Raleigh Community Hospital and was released early Friday evening. Authorities said she will be charged with failing to stop at a stoplight.
