DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities said an overnight fire destroyed a modular classroom at a Durham middle school.
The fire happened on Shepard Middle School's campus on Dakota Street near the campus of North Carolina Central University.
Investigators said no one was hurt. There is no word on what caused the fire.
The principal at the school said he will work around the problem and assign students to different classrooms Friday morning.
