Man Dies After Punching Out Window

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are investigating a bizarre death that occurred Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at 912 Davinci St. shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday and found Antonio Lamont Hart arguing with the woman who lived at the residence. The woman told officers that Hart, her ex-boyfriend, had climbed in through a window, police said.

The woman had a domestic violence protective order against Hart, according to investigators. So, Hart was escorted out of the house, and the residents locked the doors, police said.

Hart, 25, of Queen Street, then apparently punched out the kitchen window, cutting an artery in his right arm, police said. He walked to his cousin's house at 906 Davinci St., where he was found dead on the front porch shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, police said.
