HENDERSON, N.C. — One of three men charged in a fatal Henderson home invasion last month, in which a teenager shot and killed one of the intruders, was freed after posting bond on Monday.

Seneca Henderson, 20, of 907 S. Beckford Drive, No. 134, Andrew Terry, 23, of 113 N. Woods Drive, and Jatwaun Donkes Davis, 21, of 199 Belle Russell Road, are accused of breaking into the home at 586 S. Lynnbank Road on Dec. 29.

Seneca Henderson, who is charged with felony breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, entering a building with intent to commit larceny and injury to real property, was released on bond on Monday after appearing before a judge. He is also facing charges in an unrelated case involving assault on a female. He is due in court on Feb. 20.

Davis is charged with felony breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, entering a building with intent to commit larceny and injury to real property, a reduced bond. A judge on Monday denied a request by Davis' lawyer for the bond of $40,000 to be reduced after learning Davis had been convicted of breaking and entering in March 2011.

He is due in court on again Jan. 23.

Terry is charged with first-degree burglary, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession stolen goods and misdemeanor financial card fraud. He was assigned a court-appointed lawyer on Monday.

Henderson's brother Michael Anthony Henderson Jr., 19, is also accused of going into the home. A 14-year-old boy and his 17-year-old sister were home at the time, and the boy shot and killed Michael Henderson.

No charges are expected against the teen for firing on Michael Henderson. North Carolina's Castle Doctrine law, updated on Dec. 1, allows homeowners to assume intruders mean them ill whether they have a weapon on not.

The family has declined to comment since the shooting.
