Judge OKs Troubled Nightclub's Reopening

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A local nightclub that has been the site of several assaults and robberies will be allowed to reopen temporarily, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Raleigh officials revoked the amplified entertainment permit for the Supper Clubb on Atlantic Avenue, which would allow the club to operate only as a restaurant.

But the club's attorney asked for a chance to fight the decision in court. A Wake County judge agreed to that request and issued a temporary restraining order to prevent the city from enforcing its action for 10 days.
