Raleigh City Council To Tour Site Targeted For Recreation Project

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh City Council members are expected to get an up close and personal view of 146 acres of undeveloped land in the northeastern part of the city.

They will visit the Horseshoe Farm park on Wednesday.

A city advisory board recommends building a gym and outdoor basketball courts on part of the land.

More than 100 people lobbied the city for less development. Council members could vote in the next couple of weeks.
