FRANKLINTON, N.C. — Novozymes
, a developer of biofuels technology, has prevailed in a patent fight with another firm over a product that Novozymes said infringed on its intellectual property.
The company, Danisco, informed Novozymes on Aug. 25 that it had withdrawn the product, Novozymes said. The product focused on biofuel enzymes.
Novozymes had prevailed in a court fight over the product in a dispute dating to the fall of 2004. Damages will be awarded this fall, according to Novozymes.
Novozymes is based in Denmark. Its U.S. operation is based in Franklinton.
