Police Know Person Of Interest In Woman's Disappearance
RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said Thursday they have identified a man of interest in the disappearance of a Wake County woman, but refused to comment further on the case.
On Wednesday evening, police released a surveillance video that shows a man that they believe might have information that would assist investigators in the disappearance of Cynthia Moreland.
Authorities, however, have not said who the man is, his relevance to the case or the source of the video.
Moreland, 48, has been missing since Tuesday. Her abandoned Toyota Camry was found Wednesday morning in southeast Raleigh, in a neighborhood her family said she had no reason to visit.
Moreland's access card to a parking garage on Wilmington Street was used at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, but she never reported to work at Progress Energy. The company's headquarters is located above the parking garage.
Anyone with information about Moreland, the man or other matters related to the investigation should contact the Raleigh Police Department at 919-890-3555.
