Fire Breaks Out For Second Time At Raleigh Store

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Firefighters spent Monday morning fighting flames at a familiar location.

A fire broke out at Andrew's Market on South Wilmington Street in Raleigh before midnight.

Investigators said no one was inside at the time of the fire. There is no word on what caused the fire. Crews were on the scene for hours checking on hotspots.

In June, a fire destroyed everything inside the thrift store.

Andrew's Market opened 49 years ago. The owner had a reputation for helping those in need. Customers said they were short on cash, the owner would give them an informal credit and let them pay when they had the money.
