RALEIGH, N.C. — Get ready for more traffic ties up on Interstate 40 through Wake and Johnston counties.
The Department of Transportation plans to shut down a lane of I-40 West between exits 312 and 306 at 5 p.m. Friday. A few hours later, they plan to shut down an eastbound lane in the same area.
Lane closures are expected throughout the weekend. Crews are working on the Clayton bypass project. It's expected to be finished in June 2009.
