RALEIGH, N.C. — A man with ties to the Ku Klux Klan who is also accused of plotting to blow up several county buildings is headed to jail.

A federal judge sentenced Charles Barefoot to more than two years in jail for a firearms violation.

Barefoot faces several other charges in a case that involves a possible plan to blow up the courthouse, sheriff's office and other buildings.

Authorities say Barefoot also started his own faction of the Kl Klux Klan.
