Bank of America Names New President For Triangle

RALEIGH, N.C. — Bruce Sharpe, a long-time executive with Bank of America, is the bank's new president for the Triangle market.

Sharpe was named to the post on Tuesday. He will be the bank's senior executive for business, civic and philanthropic activities in the Triangle. Sharpe succeeds Jeff Lee, who is taking another position with Bank of America in Dallas, TX.

Sharpe has worked for Bank of America since 1975. He also is a private client advisor for The Private Bank, which is part of Bank of America Global Wealth and Investment Management. Sharpe is a 1971 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned an MBA at East Carolina University in 1975.

The Triangle market includes Wake, Durham, Orange, Vance and Johnston counties.
