Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council Sets Venture Conference for Sept. 14

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council will host its fourth annual Carolina Connect Entrepreneur and Capital Conference on Sept. 14.

The evnt will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville.

Sessions will include discussions about investment capital, sales and marketing, and a new "boot camp" designed to help new entrepreneurs.

Keynote speakers include Jud Bowman, chief technology officer of Motricity, a provider of mobile content and applications, and Steve Nelson, managing director of Wakefield Fund, which is an investor in Motricity. Also participating will be Robert McMahan, senior advisor on science and technology to Governor Mike Easley.
