CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A water main break is leaving some Chatham County residents high and dry.
The break occurred at Highway 15-501 north near Fearrington Village. Officials say residents in the following areas will be without water service until possibly late afternoon while crews are on scene conducting repairs:
Crews with the Department of Transportation are en route to assess damage to 15-501 and may need to close one or both directions of the roadway to perform repairs. Detour routes will be indicated if necessary.
