RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the ramp from Lumley Road (State Road 1645) accessing I-540 West in Wake County beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
The ramp will be closed for about a month.
Motorists needing to access I-540 West from
Lumley Road
should use one of the following signed detours: Briar Creek Parkway (S.R. 3109) to U.S. 70 to I-540 or Aviation Parkway (S.R. 1002) to U.S. 70 to I-540.
The closure of the ramp is necessary to repair guardrail, drain pipes and gutters as part of the I-540 construction project.
