RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Overture Networks
, a developer of converged communications network technology, has received its seventh patent.
The latest patent covers networking monitoring technology, which helps customers monitor the status of nodes on their networks. Constant monitoring is essential for network providers to meet service level agreements.
"With management of large networks becoming more and more complex, the simple elegance of the (command line interface) status indication is a welcome addition," said Prayson Pate, Overture Networks' vice president of engineering. "By providing better and simpler indications of network and element status Overture Networks has given operators better tools to recognize and correct network and element issues."
