CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Catherine Hicks, vice president of national recruiting and economic development at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, is joining the
Charlotte Research Institute
as director of life science ventures.
The CRI is located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
"Catherine brings strong experience in academia, economic development and facilitating partnerships with the business community," said CRI Executive Director Robert Wilhelm. "She will add tremendous value as we grow our applied life science research ventures."
Among Hicks' responsibilities will be to work with life science researchers at UNCC in research, marketing and business development.
