Rain Leaves Bad Taste In Raleigh Water

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Too much of a good thing is causing a stink in Raleigh.

More than 100 people have called the city to complain about a bad taste flowing from their taps.

Raleigh's water treatment manager said the problem is too much rain, which has caused algae to grow in Falls Lake, the city's water source. The algae is harmless and the city is flushing the system to clear up the problem.
