FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating the death of a

Fayetteville Observer

correspondent.

Dan Jones died Sunday from wounds he received last week.

Jones' girlfriend found him unconscious in his home Thursday morning.

Jones had a history of seizures and medical problems, but detectives said they do not know if that had anything to do with his death.

An autopsy is planned for Monday.
