DURHAM, N.C. — The husband of missing Durham cellist Janine Sutphen has filed for bankruptcy.
Robert Petrick said he needs the computers that police confiscated in order to make a living. Without them, he said, he can't pay his bills.
Petrick's wife vanished in January. He faces fraud charges connected to her disappearance.
The couple's home was to be auctioned off Friday following foreclosure. Now that Petrick has filed for bankruptcy, that's on hold.
