Buddy Myers Family Meets With FBI Agent About DNA Results

Posted Updated

SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — An FBI agent met with family members of Buddy Myers, a Sampson County boy who has been missing for nearly three years.

The agent, who arrived at the family's home around 12:30 p.m. Friday, discussed with them the results of a DNA test that determined whether a Chicago boy is, in fact, Myers.

CNN has reported that Eli Quick, a boy found in Illinois, is not Buddy Myers, a Sampson County boy who has been missing for nearly three years. However, FBI officials have said that it is premature to know for sure.

The Sampson County Sheriff's Office is planning to hold a press conference at 3 p.m. Friday to announce the results. Members of the Myers family will be in attendance for that press conference.
