Wolfpack Plays Host To UNC As ACC Baseball Returns To Doak

RALEIGH, N.C. — For the first time this season, North Carolina State will play an Atlantic Coast Conference baseball series at Doak Field this weekend. The series is expected to be competitive, with the Wolfpack playing host to archrival North Carolina.

N.C. State enters the three-game series 34-9 overall, 11-4 and tied for second place in the ACC. Carolina is 32-12 overall, 10-5 and in fourth place in the ACC.

The Wolfpack is ranked in the top 10 of both major college baseball polls.

Game times for the series are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The first game of the series is officially sold out. Limited tickets are still available for the second and third games of the series.

Because of renovations that have been going on at the stadium, N.C. State has played just three of its 43 games this season at Doak Field.

The Wolfpack has won six of its last seven games, 11 of its last 13 and 29 of its last 34. The Wolfpack is ranked No. 6 nationally by

"This has all the makings of an outstanding college baseball series," Wolfpack head coach Elliott Avent sai. "This is a great North Carolina team, and they come to town playing extremely well. They've been on a roll lately."
