Hazing Charges Dropped Against Methodist College Football Players

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Charges have been dropped against seven Methodist College football players accused of abusing a freshman player in a locker room last year.

Campus police filed hazing charges, but prosecutors dropped the charges because of concerns over separation of church and state.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office took over and the case ended up before a grand jury, which dropped the charges.
