Fayetteville Wants Tougher Penalities Against Sign Violators

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville is cracking down to clean up its image.

City council members want to make the penalties tougher for businesses that violate the city's ban on large signs.

Council members will discuss increasing the fine to $400 at Monday's meeting.

Right now, violators face an $100 fine.
