ROXBORO, N.C. — Plans to build a new power plant in Person County have gone cold.
Dominion Resources scrapped plans to build a $625 million natural gas power plant in southern Roxboro. The surprise decision ends three years of negotiations.
Dominion's decision will cost the city millions in potential tax and water revenues. The plant would have also added 50 permanent and 400 temporary jobs.
