City council members are holding the forums to get feedback on whether the city should pass an occupancy ordinance limiting the number of unrelated people living together in single-family homes and duplexes to two, down from four.
The meeting takes place at the Pullen Arts Center, 105 Pullen Road, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Some feel cutting the current limit of four roommates in half could cause real problems for college students and people with low-incomes.
Several Raleigh homeowners say the noise and loud partying have become a nuisance.
A public hearing on the proposed ordinance will be held Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Raleigh City Council chambers.
