Police Look For Suspects In Chapel Hill Stabbings

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking information about two people who may have been involved in two stabbings on Franklin Street on Halloween.

Police say a man approached an officer saying he had been in a fight and then realized he had been stabbed. He received a puncture wound in the chest for which he was hospitalized. Minutes later, police say a woman approached the officer, saying she had been stabbed in the arm and chest.

Police say neither victim saw the weapon.

The suspect is described as a white male with a full beard and curly brown hair down to his shoulders. He is 5-foot-9-inches to 6 feet tall and heavy. He was wearing a dark-color trenchcoat.

Police say the second person is either a witness to the stabbings or may have been involved. He is a white male and was wearing a costume that consisted of orange or pink traffic cones on his head and both arms.
