Police worked along the area of Jones Street and Idlewild Avenue, catching 44 violators.
John Holland, who lives nearby, said he has seen prostitutes and their customers frequent the area.
"It is getting a little annoying. It's a little frustrating, just to see the different types of things that comes in here during that time," he said.
Police said residents who make complaints about the prostitution in the area make their job easier.
"Obviously, we are out and around and we see stuff going on, but we are not out here 24 hours a day," said Detective Kent Sholar, of the Raleigh Police Department.
Months ago, Raleigh police raided several alleged brothels in the city.
