officially debuts next week, but most of it is up and running. There is information on bus routes with times and pick-up points.
There is also information for alternative commuters like bicyclists, even weather information. They will also tell online visitors what companies have to offer.
"We have employers in the park that are actually paying employees essentially, to try something different by either paying transit subsidies also vanpool subsidies, where they can actually get a free ride into work and avoid the stress of the daily commute," travel demand coordinator Crystal Bunch said.
Studies show that during the morning rush on I-40, only one in 10 cars has more than one person on board. Officials want to get workers to carpool to work. Carpool registration forms are available on the new Web site. Officials said getting people together online could get more cars off the road.
Officials also said the Web site is not just for RTP commuters, but a resource for anyone who passes through the area.
