RALEIGH, N.C. — Deputies say the men who shot and killed a Nash County grandmother committed a similar crime the same day in Greene County.
Investigators say Terro Ward of Wilson and Orlando Faison of Stantonsburg beat a man and took two wallets and three guns. Deputies found one of those guns in Nash County, where 73-year-old Mattie Keen had been shot and killed.
Her son, Kenny, who was shot during the home invasion, came home from the hospital Thursday.
Ward and Faison face murder charges. A third man, who is facing the same charges, is still on the run. A $2,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to his arrest.
