FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
is getting the aid it needs.
To help ease its nursing shortage, the hospital set out to hire 100 nurses in 100 days. Tuesday was the final day of the campaign. With the help of television, newspaper and radio ads, the hospital met its goal.
Officials said they are still conducting interviews, but they said that they have already met their goal. As of late Tuesday, they had a net gain of 121 nurses.
Earlier this year, they said they were short 70 nurses.
