CARY, N.C. — By this time next year, Cary police officers will have more elbow room.
Monday, the town starts construction on a new building next to Town Hall.
The 55,000-square-foot building will house the police department and the town's technology department.
The new building is part of a $28 million project to renovate and expand the town campus. The entire project is expected to be completed in three years.
