Two Triangle Darryl's Restaurants Close

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — Two local Darryl's Restaurants are now closed.

Houlihan's had been working on a deal with the Orlando-based Renaissance Group to sell all nine Darryl's restaurants. When that deal fell through, the company decided to close five "under-performing stores," including the restaurants on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh and on Chapel Hill Boulevard in Durham.

Each store employs between 50 and 60 people, according to Houlihan's Vice President Alan Gaylin.
