FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An effort to get trash off the streets in Fayetteville was so successful that the city cannot get homeowners to stop cluttering the curbs.
Last month, the city began its Operation Clean Sweep campaign. Homeowners were asked to clean out trash and other unwanted items from their homes.
The campaign ended May 2, but some homeowners are still putting stuff out.
The city wants homeowners to know Operation Clean Sweep is over.
