Two Murdered In Separate Incidents At Johnston Co. Mobile Home Park

Posted Updated

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff is taking action after two murders occurred in one neighborhood in less than 24 hours.

The Sheriff's Office said a man shot and killed his estranged girlfriend at the Beaulah in the Pines mobile home park just after midnight Friday.

Tarvaris Mickens, 25, turned himself in for the crime Saturday morning.

The second murder happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Deputies charged Donnell Bryant, 52, with stabbing a man to death after an argument got out of hand.

Sheriff Steve Bizzell said that after the weekend murders and past drug problems, he is looking to get the mobile home park ruled a nuisance area and maybe even shut down.

He said that he plans to meet with the owners of the mobile home park to discuss his concerns.
