Parents Want Pine Forest M.S. Principal To Be Removed From Job

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Parents of students at Pine Forest Middle School said students are getting everything but an education.

Earlier this month, a student was arrested for writing grafitti. Now parents learned a female student was assaulted by a male student in a bathroom.

Sherry Marshburn is a member of the group "Pine Forest Middle School For You." She said parents were not notified of the assault and she wants an explanation. Other concerns from parents include confusion about the school's uniform and unqualified teachers.

Principal Reggie Pinkney said if parents have problems, they should come to him.

"All I have to say is come out to the school and see exactly what's going on," Pinkney said.

Pinkney, who has been a principal at Pine Forest Middle School for four years, said he has met with parents to come up with some revisions to the dress code.
