RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities are trying to find someone who made off with nearly $500,000 worth of golf equipment.
Police said thieves broke into Carolina Custom Golf Sunday night. It is the second time the store has been robbed, but this time the thieves disabled a high-tech security system.
"We upgraded everything we had. It was in their opinion the best system that they could find, but it didn't work," co-owner Julian Bunn said.
Police said the thieves knew exactly what to steal, too. The thieves stole equipment from Callaway, Ping and Titleist -- all top-of-the-line brands.
Bunn said the clubs are probably already out of state and will be sold on eBay.
