ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Flags are a hot item these days, but patriotism has caused some people to go a little overboard.
Flags have been taken from two homes in Chapel Hill as well as from a local cemetery. There are also reports that three flags have been taken from the American Legion Post No. 6 in Orange County.
Chapel Hill police said that it has been hard to investigate the thefts because there has not been any evidence.
The American Legion Post is offering a reward to anybody with information about the thefts of the flags.
