DURHAM — The investigation into the death of a Durham woman has taken another turn.
Kathleen Peterson was found dead at the bottom of the staircase in her home on Dec. 10.
According to reports, a special session of the Durham County Grand jury will convene on Thursday to hear evidence surrounding Peterson's death.
Peterson's husband, Michael, called 911.
Durham police continue to call the death suspicious. Several search warrants have also been issued, but no suspects have been named.
It could be quite some time before it is known know what the grand jury finds, because sessions are not made public until they are finished.
